It's the year 5000,The Solar AllianceThe Solar Alliance has evolved into the greatest civilization this galaxy has ever known, but let me tell you Homo-Sapiens did not build it all on their own. As you journey through the Cortex Vortex Universe, you'll have the opportunity to play as a Homo-Sapien, a Mekanimal, Neo-Sapien, a Bot, an Alien, a Diluvian, a Synth Fairy, or a (NOA)Non-Organic Alien.
No matter which path you choose, you'll have access to a range of unimaginably advanced items and tech to help you survive and thrive, including mechanical body mods, genetic mods, engineering and mystical tools, and even media and music equipment. Some things have advanced too much, and some too little. You’ll be the judge of that.
The year is 4999 AC. The Solar System pulses under one banner—the Solar Alliance. Deep in the Planum Lunae region of Mars, on land where red dust meets flowing rivers and emerald chasms, rises the unstoppable sprawl of Oasis II. And at the center of it all: YOU.
You stand near the core of the metropolis, you see the city stretch beyond the horizon. Skyscrapers vanish into the clouds, streets coil between levels, and every structure is filled with life. Beneath your feet, the flare-grid hums, warming your boots with every step. Touch any surface and it reacts, ripple-textured alloy sensing your presence, scanning you, or... remembering you.
Above, the skyline is a living cathedral of technomagic. Bioluminescent towers spiral upward like glass thorns, linked by magnetic skyrails and serpentine bridges. Floating walkways flicker with code-ghosts. You walk a kilometer-high skybridge and still feel grounded until you enter a building so massive, it holds an entire vertical city inside. Parks on Level 15. Night markets on Level 9. Void chapels beneath the atrium.
This is Oasis II not a city, the city. If Tokyo’s neon veins, New York’s vertical madness, Shanghai’s kinetic chaos, Paris’s aesthetic, and Munich’s precision had a flare born child this would be it. Most who arrive here never leave. Not because the galaxy lacks wonders. But because nothing compares to Oasis II, a city where you can have all you desire.
And today… it breathes a different rhythm. Celebrations for the new millennia are already bursting out into the city. A storm of color and culture, constructed of chrome and bone march besides caravans pulled by gene-forged beasts. Synthfairy choirs and techno instruments make the air vibrate with harmonic resonance. Neptunian Shamans chant beside the Chrono-Priests. Mekanimals dance with bots who project psychedelic holograms that emanate from their cores. The air smells like caramelized voidfruit, a delicatessen I’m sure you can’t wait to try. LED fireworks that look, feel, sound and smell like the real thing explode in the air, surrounded by ceremonial holograms depicting important moments and figures in history like Prometheus Blade or the mother of Mars Bitcoinbelle.
The Alliance is the greatest power this Solar System has ever known, this city proves it, and its citizens thank the Alliance for the prosperity, security and unity it has brought to the majority of the Solar system. As the Solar Alliance teeters on the edge of its next thousand years, Oasis II becomes the solar system’s stage a convergence of politics, art, religion, science, and hedonism. Interplanetary congresses. Starborn galas. Flare fueled orgies of light and sound. Reality sculptors. War-memorial raves.
Eye catching organic neon-light advertisements offer you the latest Mech-Ups, Chupix, Meta-Boosts and some telling you where the next great party or event is happening or where you can find company for the night.
The street is lit. The sky is on fire. And flare burns hot in every soul. A six-armed Mekanimal monk pounds a synth-drum you feel in your chest, your adventure begins now.
What will you become in a city where everything is for sale... except your destiny?
You arrive in Oasis II some of you through shimmering teleportation portals, others like Pure H. Sapiens by atmospheric shuttle. Either way, you converge at the same place: Oasis II Vortex Gate, it’s a grand terminal, modern and majestic, glowing with neon portals that can take you almost anywhere in the Solar System and to other important places in our galaxy. Travelers enter and exit portals, it seems that thousands are moving back and forth through the veins of space.
The characters are drawn to the same place, there a message pings across your HUDs, crisp and corporate:
“Welcome, lottery recipients. You are now officially recognized as Neophytes of the Space Mining Conglomerate. Your identities have been verified. Attached are your event credentials, priority access tags, and enough Solex (redeemable immediately) to spend on Prism Street for Mech-Ups, Muta-Boosts, Devices, or indulgence.
In 48 hours, you’ll witness the Cosmic Proelium quarter-final, a once -in-a-century event where Celeste Nova will fight the winner of tonight’s match which is playing in the Plaza right outside the terminal. Until then: explore. Enhance. Prepare.
The galaxy is watching. Congratulations. You’re here to watch a fight. But SMC doesn’t hand out gifts for free.
There’s talk of a trial. A test. Something’s coming. Better be ready.
The Players walk out into the plaza, people are gathered in front of gigantic screens that are livestreaming the cosmic proelium fight, people are pumped, you see Mekanimals, Aliens, Humans, Synthfairy even bots going crazy for their favorite fighter. Vapor uses a finishing move for the ages, everyone goes crazy, like if your favorite team scored a goal in the world cup, glowing drinks are flying, polychromatic confetti, the roar from the crowd makes the ground shake.
A big bass silences the crowd, an announcement by the SMC, the sponsors of the Cosmic Proelium. Their giant logo appears and in the most epic trailer voice and with the most awe-inspiring imagery it starts:
“SOLAR MINING CONGLOMERATE, the letters join to form the logo of the SMC with a big explosion, even the pyrotechnics go off all around the plaza in coordination with the lights, supporting what is going on in the screen.
“Become a Galactic Pioneer, secure lands in distant worlds that will pay royalties FOR EVER!!!! If you pass the tests you will be able to compete in the Cosmic Proelium. Fight, Win, Ascend unlock wealth, fame and power. The Galaxy is watching, make sure it remembers your name!” BOOOOOOM!!!!!!
A Bot-DJ takes the stage and starts playing wonderful techno. The players are now free to do what they want, but it’s in the best interest to go to Prism Street to get ready.
They exit the plaza together, and walk into a series of smaller streets, each locale shining its own peculiar neon hologram advertisement.
You are in the second decade, of the second millennium, of a calendar of a planet in our known universe, cortex vortex is a possible future until the opposite is made a fact, them it will become another parallel dimension of our known universe, cortex vortex is what will happened when the flares from the Vortex in the center of the universe, grant the habitants power with cortex flare energy, we are just tapping into that future and letting the door open, for those who want to come in and develop their ring flare in a futuristic, fantastical, Synthwave universe. MECHANICAL & DNA MODS. Where humanity has evolved technology that has access to nuclear solar batteries, or "Solex" as we like to call them, filled with a little bit of our sun to keep us powered up. And let's not forget about nanobot dust and the soulweave, an implanted internet of the future based on the blockchain.
As you venture through the Cortex Vortex Universe, you'll encounter all sorts of creatures and beings, and test your skills against formidable enemies. But beware, for you'll also encounter treacherous galactic merchants and intergalactic monsters, all vying for power and riches.
In the Cortex Vortex Universe, the entire solar system is colonized, and you can visit a variety of fictional places within it. From the frozen tundras of Pluto to the volcanic landscapes of lo, you will always find something new and exciting to discover. You can visit bustling cities on Earth and Mars, or venture to the outer reaches of the solar system to explore the mysteries of the Kuiper Belt. And with portals as the main mode of transport between planets, you can travel in no time. Just beware: they track everything that comes and goes, so use transports or clandestine portals to move untracked.
2043 - Prometheus Blade is betrayed by NASA, he has the First Contact on Mars with an Alien Species under Mount Olympus, they warn him that if humans come they will become hostile. NASA unplugs Prometheus from the system, trying to prevent panic after knowing how crazy everything became during the Saturnian Invasion of ‘35. He barely makes it to OASIS 1 after NASA shuts off his oxygen. Here he scavenges some things and disappears. NASA announces his demise: “We lost a hero today during an exploration today when a cave collapsed on him and breaking his oxygen tank”
2087 - Galactic War I The animals take over after millennia of abuse by their human counterparts. The war is led by General McChicken Connor, a Warrior Rooster from Earth. The chickens allied themselves with most species, even dogs were easy to convince to join. The only defender of man? Endangered Species who forgot how to survive in the wild… Ironic.
2600 the terra Solarian army starts assembling so they can counteract the power of Magestrius. They start the Alchemist Order, and start training Alchemist Knights whose sole purpose is to protect the Inhabitants of the Alliance. They are not trained to protect the Alliance itself but the citizens of this great government, sometimes even against the Alliance itself.
